studentsIf you want the chance to work for Staffordshire County Council whilst gaining a qualification, why not consider an Apprenticeship with us?

Normally lasting between 12 and 15 months, placements can start at any time of the year, and give you the chance to earn nationally recognised qualifications and earn a salary.

You will be fully supported throughout your time with us & we've just been highly commended for our programme by the National Apprenticeship Scheme.

We have opportunities across Staffordshire at different times of the year in a wide range of areas including:

  • Business Administration
  • Information Technology
  • Customer Service
  • Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Lab Technicians
  • Social Care
  • Catering

As an apprentice you will benefit by:

Apprenticeships at different levels

There are two levels - Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships both leading to National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Key Skills qualifications and Technical Certificates.

Level 2 Apprenticeships - aimed primarily at young people aged 16 plus. With support and training, you will develop your occupational knowledge, skills and understanding to Level 2.

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships -aimed primarily at people age 18 plus who are at Level 2 competency and have the ability to develop quickly in their jobs. You will be looking to quickly progress your career to a supervisory role.

Apprenticeships offer the best of both worlds. Not only do you start your career and earn a wage – you also get the chance to work towards nationally recognised qualifications.
