Liam Gibson, Business Admin Apprentice, 19 Years Old

Liam's manager Hayley McGirr said: "It's great having an apprentice. A good apprentice like Liam is enthusiastic and motivated.

Working alongside Liam makes me feel proud - I'm helping to create  a skilled workforce for the future."

Liam has been an apprentice at the council since October 2009 and takes part in all aspects of administration for payroll and expenses in his work at the Shared Service Centre.

Liam said:  "I'm enjoying all aspects of the apprenticeship including the skills training and my NVQ. I'm gaining practical work experience in a busy office environment and learning while I'm earning."
